Meet Higgins, a fully grown German shepherd who has been living in a kennel at the Humane Society of Preble County for most of his life. Despite his charming personality, no one has come forward to give him a forever home. Nevertheless, the shelter staff is determined to find Higgins a family as he still holds onto the hope of being adopted.
Meet Higgins, a clever and faithful German shepherd who was saved from an animal shelter when he was a cute little puppy. However, his new home didn’t work out as planned, and he was returned to the shelter. But instead of losing heart, Higgins remained optimistic and continued his search for a permanent loving family. Sadly, many people avoided him because of his age. Nevertheless, the shelter staff didn’t give up on this incredible dog who had spent most of his life in confinement.
As a little puppy, Higgins was taken to a shelter and soon after, he found a new home. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out for him, and he was returned to the shelter just a year later. According to Renner, it was reported that Higgins was left alone tied to a doghouse for most of the day. The following year, Higgins was discovered as a stray and brought back to the same shelter.
Higgins had been wishing for a loving family to adopt him and give him a permanent home. Unfortunately, no one seemed interested in him despite his eagerness. He had spent quite a while at the shelter which unfortunately led people to believe that he had flaws. His worried expression made him look intimidating in his kennel, causing people to ignore him as they walked by.
Higgins, a lovable pooch, has finally found his forever home after spending 2,381 days in a shelter. Brendon Reed, a 22-year-old, came across Higgins’ photo and story on the internet and was immediately smitten. Higgins’ charming looks and personality were perfect for Reed, and he knew that he had to adopt him. Reed was baffled as to why such a fantastic dog remained unadopted for so long. Finally, Higgins’ luck had turned, and he could now enjoy his new home with Reed.
Renner was surprised when Reed walked into the shelter and announced that he had come to take Higgins home. After six and a half long years, Higgins had finally found a caring father in Reed who provided him with a secure environment every day. Now, the adorable pup could unwind on a comfortable sofa, watch some TV, play around in his private backyard, and relish rolling in the grass.
We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Higgins is joining Reed’s life as a wonderful new addition. It would mean the world to us if you could join us in celebrating this joyous occasion and share in our happiness for Higgins!
