A bunch of tabby kittens, among them a super tight pair, were saved from the harsh realities of life on the streets and began a fresh journey together. A man’s quick break from work ended up with him bringing home a sweet kitten that needed some TLC.
Following their mother’s unfortunate injury in a car accident, a quartet of charming kittens ended up under the loving care of ARPO, an animal rescue located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Despite the frightening situation, the kittens remained inseparable, forming a close-knit group to seek warmth and solace.
At just about three weeks old, these tiny bundles of fur needed round-the-clock attention and veterinary care. One of the white kittens had a injured paw, while the other two appeared a bit wobbly on their feet. The tabby kitten seemed to be the one playing the role of peacemaker, keeping the group bonded together.
Lori White, a passionate foster volunteer at ARPO, recently recounted a touching tale of four kittens who found solace and companionship in each other. Through nutritious meals, gentle nurturing, and a snug living space, Ducky, Cera, Petrie, and Littlefoot thrived and flourished. Initially, Cera and Petrie displayed signs of cerebellar hypoplasia, but with time, their muscles grew stronger. The special bond shared by these kittens not only provided comfort but also helped them conquer their obstacles.
Lori White provided some heartwarming updates on the adorable animals in her care. Petrie recently had a warble removed from his neck, while Ducky the tabby had a scare with aspiration pneumonia but made a full recovery after a short hospital stay. Littlefoot, the kitten with the injured paw, received a week of wound care and antibiotics and now has a smaller mitten on her left front leg, but it doesn’t stop her from being playful. Littlefoot was a bit slow to transition to solid food as she had a strong attachment to her bottle.
With Lori White providing proper nourishment and loving care, the kittens thrived under her attentive gaze. Ducky, the unique tabby, stood out from her siblings with her loud demands for food and swift learning of using the litter box. After a satisfying meal, Ducky happily looks for affectionate belly rubs before nestling with her littermates for a comforting cuddle.
Ducky is easily distinguishable as the lone tabby in her litter, with her brothers and sisters all experiencing quick growth in recent weeks. Their individual traits are shining through more prominently as time goes by. When they’re not catching some zzz’s, you can catch them frolicking around, engaging in cute wrestling bouts, and investigating every nook and cranny by scaling whatever they can climb.
Meet Ducky, the ultimate snuggle buddy who enjoys being the center of attention and has no problem voicing her opinions. She thrives in her position as the unofficial caretaker and groomer, especially when she’s hanging out on her foster mom’s shoulders.

These small felines are lucky to have been saved from the harsh streets. With the help of a caring foster family, they have healed completely and are flourishing, becoming healthier with each passing day.
“They’re all so full of energy and affectionate! They’ll be up for adoption through ARPO in the beginning of September,” Lori eagerly shared with Love Meow.

Littlefoot the kitten and his siblings are relishing each moment of happiness following a tough start. Ducky, the affectionate tabby, never fails to share love with her warm snuggles for everyone around.
